Jose Carreras to retire from opera |

On Friday, Jose Carreras declared in a local newspaper that he will soon be retiring from opera. Carreras, who is counted among one of the "Three Tenors", had said this in an interview to the newspaper.
In the interview in The Times, the 62 year old Spanish opera performer said that if he doesn't get operas according to his needs, his career will come to an end. The Spanish opera singer was one of the founders of "The Three Tenors" and received great success in the field of opera.
Jose Carreras feels that they were "the most popular tenors of the day".
