Three months ago, actor Kal Penn announced that he was leaving Fox's medical drama TV series House to work in White House's Office of Public Liaison.
The 31-year-old started working on Monday where he admitted that he did have a large pay cut from working as an actor in the past. "I expect to be treated just like any other staff member," he said.
Regarding his morning routines before going to his new job, he shared, "I brushed my teeth. I did floss, used mouthwash... took the bus to work, same thing that everybody does."
The primary function of Penn as White House's Liaison is to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities and arts groups.
