Being member of the British royal family it's not that simple as it may look. Keeping up with their royal duties, Kate Middleton and Prince William paid their respects to UK troops Saturday on Britain's Armed Forces Day.
Originally, Kate and William were scheduled to spend around 30 minutes with UK troops but the royal couple presented Afghanistan campaign medals and honored soldiers and their family for more than an hour.
Prince William, who also is the honorary colonel of the unit, presented the Elizabeth Cross to families of 3 fallen soldiers in a more private ceremony.
"I am proud to be your colonel," Prince William said during the ceremony. "I am humbled by the thought of the sacrifices that you and your families have made and the losses you suffered, all in the service of our country."by FW Editor |
