Katie Holmes is preparing for a role of a life time. The beautiful actress seems destined to play the iconic first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
According to Access Hollywood, Katie Holmes has signed on to star in 'The Kennedys.' There will be an eight-hour mini series premiering in 2011 on the History Channel.
Other famous actors Katie will star alongside are Greg Kinnear, who is to play John F. Kennedy, and Tom Wilkinson, who will play father Joe Kennedy. Barry Pepper is playing the role of Robert Kennedy.
The eight-hour mini series will focus on the Kennedy family. There is a glamorous story that ends in tragedy for John and Robert, as they are killed by gunmen. Jacqueline will marry Greek millionaire Aristotle Onassis, earning the nickname "Jackie O."
The producers of the series think that Katie has the smile of the former first lady. She also has the similar sense of fine clothing.
