After the scuffle at a New York party earlier this week, Kiefer Sutherland, who was charged with misdemeanor assault for reportedly headbutting designer Jack McCollough, surrendered to the police in the First Precinct.
The 42-year-old was then photographed and fingerprinted. With him was Blair Berk, his Los Angeles lawyer. Sutherland is set to appear in a Manhattan Criminal Court to respond to his charges. If he would be found guilty, he may be fined as much as $1,000 and may be facing jail time.
Rumor has it that the cause of the actor's headbutting was when McCollough bumped into Brooke Shields at the party.
The authorities in L.A., on the other hand, intend to investigate the incident since Sutherland is still under probation for his DUI conviction two years ago.
