| Kris Allen Reacts to Surprising Idol Results |

Kris Allen, 23 years old from Conway, Arkansas, recently won the title as the new American Idol champ. His victory prompted some industry experts to think that this was the biggest upset in the history of Idol because many were thinking that it was his runner-up, Adam Lambert, who made better performances than him, would win the competition.
After the show, "I'm shocked. I feel great, but I'm just shocked," Allen exclaimed. "Adam deserved this just as much as I do. He's an amazing performer, a gifted guy—an amazing guy."
Lambert, on the other hand, had praises for his friend saying, "Kris is my bud. He's such a good guy, so humble, and he's super talented. I'm really happy for him." He also commented about his unique style and singing. "I'm a little bit different, and people enjoyed it, and that feels amazing. It feels really cool to be able to challenge people's concepts of what is an American Idol."
