Seven time winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong had initially thought the injury he suffered in Spain a few days ago was not that serious. But, later on, after further investigations it was seen that Armstrong's collarbone had broken in a number of pieces as a result of the impact.

Presently, his collarbone is supported by a metal plate with twelve screws attached to it. He is now doubtful about future participation in races, specially about grabbing his eighth win at the Tour de France.

His doctors have said that he can start riding after 7 days but he will to train lightly in the beginning and then decide further action depending on how well he recovers.

Lance Armstrong said that he rarely had crashes throughout his long career which spanned across two decades.
