Lauren Conrad Wants to Produce Than Act

Lauren Conrad Wants to Produce Than Act

Tuesday, July 28 2009

Former Hills star Lauren Conrad wanted to bring her first novel L.A. Candy, which topped the New York Times Best Seller list, to the big screen.

But don’t expect the reality TV star to do the acting because she wishes to work behind the camera, a source said. "Lauren's goal is to get into producing. It always was. It was always to make L.A. Candy into a film or TV show. She's been in talks about it"

And since there is "no deal in place just yet, that's her ultimate goal." The 23-year-old is really "hoping for a movie deal" but doesn't "want to commit to anything until I see all my options," Conrad told the New York Daily News.
