"I never had a date in high school, not one," she said.

She actually become a overnight success when she arrived at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts at 17

"Every boy wanted to date me," she said.

"It's because I was at school with a bunch of artists, a bunch of freaks. It was OK to be what I was. Knowing this made me come out of myself."

Parker recently said that her role as Nancy Botwin on Weeds has taught her how to turn cannabis into cupcakes and lollipops

"Now I can turn marijuana into cupcakes and lollipops," she said.
