After the 2002 science fiction thriller Signs where he starred as Rev. Graham Hess, famous actor and director Mel Gibson hasn't been visible on the big screen since then.
The good news is the 53-year-old actor will star in a big role again in the upcoming drama The Beaver which will be directed by Jodie Foster.
As reported by Variety, Gibson's role is "a depressed man who finds solace in wearing a beaver hand-puppet." Aside from her directorial job, Foster will also play as the actor's wife.
The two already worked together in the film Maverick way back in 1994. Meanwhile, Gibson's most recent work was directing the 'Beautiful Heartache' music video of his pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
