Lars Ulrich, drummer of the legendary rock band, Metallica, has termed the ceremony they are planning for the band's induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as "a sort of family reunion".
Metallica has been contacting all the people who have been associated with the band in the past to visit Cleveland on the eve of the induction ceremony. The list includes friend musicians, photographers, journalists and members of Elektra and Megaforce, the previous labels of Metallica.
They have also invited ex-band mates like Dave Mustaine, Jason Newsted, Ron McGovney and Ray Burton, on behalf of his son Cliff Burton, who played the bass for Metallica from 1982 to 1986.
Kirk Hammett, guitarist of the band, feels that it is a good thing that Metallica is being inducted into the Hall of Fame while the band is still active and influential.
Additionally, "Guitar Hero: Metallica", the video game is also set for launch on March 31.
