A few weeks ago, Michael Fassbender wavered between joining the cast of X-Men: First Class as Magneto or play a negative role in another Marvel franchise, Spider-Man.
Today we find out that Fassbender signed for Magneto's role, so he will work under the direction of Matthew Vaughn's for the prequel to X-Men.
Michael Fassbender, best known from Hunger (the film obtained Camera d'Or in 2008, directed by Steve McQueen), but also from Inglourious Basterds and 300, will make a team with James McAvoy who will play the role of Professor X. Benjamin Walker appear as Beast, Rosamund Pike in the role of Emma Frost and Amber Heard as Mystique.
X-Men: First Class will be launched in cinemas in early June, next year and will bring to theaters the early adventures of the X-Men series before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr become Professor X and Magneto. It's shown the period when they discover their powers.
Since now, Magneto was played by Ian McKellen, and Professor X by Patrick Stewart.by FW Editor |
