Michael Jackson Film To Be Released on October 28

Sunday, August 23 2009

The film, This Is It, which chronicles Michael Jackson's final days including the rehearsal footage from his planned comeback concerts in London is slated to be released worldwide on October 28 for two weeks only.

Sony Pictures stated, "Audiences will be given a privileged and private look at the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, and genius as he creates and perfects his final show."

The movie director Kenny Ortega disclosed, "As we began assembling the footage for the motion picture, we realized we captured something extraordinary, unique and very special. It's a very private, exclusive look into a creative genius' world." The documentary was first scheduled to hit theaters on October 30 but Sony Pictures decided that the "special, limited, two-week engagement worldwide" would be changed to October 28 instead.
