After being sent out from the eighth season of American Idol, Michael Sarver wants to stick to music as his career. He said that he "will not be going back to the oil rig" where he previously worked.
Sarver said that he had written many songs and plans to start working on an album as a solo artist. Meanwhile, he is looking forward to having a good time with his family and will be appearing in a tour with the Top 10 contestants of American Idol this summer.
Michael said that he has been writing songs from the time he was 14 and has a collection of nearly 900 songs written all by him. He wants his album to be in the R&B genre, drawing much influence from singers like Justin Timberlake.
