At exactly 11:45 a.m., the 4-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill said. Exodus died after a cord from a treadmill entangled her neck while playing with the exercise equipment.
In a statement, Tyson stated, "We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world. There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."
The boxer was in Las Vegas when the incident happened. Upon hearing the tragedy, he immediately went back to Arizona to be with his family.
