According to Access Hollywood, former O.C. actress Mischa Barton was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.
"Mischa has been hospitalized per the recommendation of her doctor and is resting in the hospital," said the representative of the 23-year-old.
Barton called the police at 3 p.m. on Wednesday to report about a particular health problem. "We assisted her with a medical issue and removed her from her home," LAPD Officer April Harding disclosed.
Harding added that there were no paramedics and arrests involved. She also cannot reveal further details about the actress’ condition due to confidentiality laws.
