The star of the critically acclaimed film Precious, Mo'Nique talked about her monstrous role in the movie and her sexually abusive eldest brother back then in this week's issue of People magazine.
As for her role in the film, she shared, "Coming from being molested as a child, when (director Lee Daniels) said, 'I need you to be this monster,' well (I) knew who that monster was."
Now that several critics are saying that she could be an Oscar nominee, she simply said, "Any buzz I'm appreciative of." Another thing that makes her shine and cheer is her new talk show on BET, The Mo'Nique Show. "When that curtain opens, I'm a kid that has no limit on all the candy she can have," quipped the 41-year-old.
