"Monsters" a by Gareth Edwards made a good impression for the special attention offered to details, more than the rest of SF films.
Edwards is a special effects specialist, nominated for an Emmy, and he makes his directorial debut by putting his experience to work for effective incorporation of special effects in building compelling creatures.
Although the acting of the two human protagonists is less satisfactory, the movie is a good catch.
The story takes place on the border between Mexico and the U.S.A NASA robot programmed to provide evidence of extraterrestrial material decays in the atmosphere when returning to Earth and the load falls in an area which six years later will be declared infected.
There the armies of USA and Mexico are waging a battle without chance of victory with alien creatures that are multiplying rapidly.
A journalist (scooter McNairy) who writes about this war for six years reaches unexpectedly close over the two camps, when he has to escort the daughter (Whitney Able) of his boss.
The film could bring people to Theatres when it will be launch, probably on Halloween.by FW Editor |
