Tata Motors will be launching the Nano in July in India. Set to be the cheapest car of the world, the Nano is priced near $,2000.
Presently, Tata Motors have plans to sell Nano only in the Indian market but they are willing to spread out to international markets in the future. In India, the response for the cheapest car is overwhelming and so many people have put down their orders that the company will choose 100,000 interested owners randomly as their first customers. Only orders made between April 9 and April 25 will be entered into this random selection.
The Nano is also looking for a launch in the European market by the year 2011. Tata Motors also has eyes on the USA as a potential market in the future.
