Neill Blomkamp the next possible director for 'The Hobbit'

Neill Blomkamp the next possible director for 'The Hobbit'

Thursday, July 1 2010

The series of rumors regarding the potential directors to film The Hobbit, today those from The One Ring named Neill Blomkamp (District 9) as the perfect candidate to direct this anticipated movie..

Thus, Blomkamp is joining among the candidates about we heard rumors that they will take this project after the director Guillermo del Toro dropped film: it was about David Yates, David Dobkin and Bret Ratner.

However those from Warner Bros. and MGM would choose without second thoughts the director Peter Jackson, but he refused, being already involved as a producer and co-writer on this project.

It is worth repeating that no one is currently attached to direct "The Hobbit", we are still in the phase where speculation is rife, and the only one who can solve this situation is the one and only, Peter Jackson.
