New album of Steve Martin enters Billboard 200

Actor-comedian Steve Martin's banjo performance is attracting the attention of USA as his new album, "The Crow:

New Songs for the Five-String Banjo" entered the Billboard 200 chart during its opening in this

week.The album reached 106th spot on the chart with some publicity received from the reality

talent show "American Idol".


During the final episode of "American Idol" a few days back, Steve Martin had performed the

song, "Pretty Flowers" from his album which gave the audience an example of the banjo talent of

this renowned comedian.


Previously, Steve Martin had reached the Billboard 200 thrice previously with albums on comedy.

His last album to enter Billboard 200, "The Steve Martin Brothers", had a side dedicated to

banjo as well.
