Nicolas Cage may be famous as a protagonist in his films but the actor seemed to be an antagonist of the state for not paying his back taxes.
All in all, Cage is obliged to pay $6.3 million to the government. The court papers revealed that the Internal Revenue Service put a tax lien on the actor's real estate properties for failing to pay $6 million in unpaid back taxes beginning 2007.
He also incurred more than $350,000 in debt for his unpaid taxes from 2002 to 2004. Moreover, East West Bank filed a complaint against the National Treasure actor for not paying his $2 million loan with them.
