Nicollette Sheridan's trial is complete.

Sunday, June 27 2010

The allegations of assault made by Nicolette Sheridan to the creator of Desperate Housewives, Marc Cherry, have been investigated and closed in 2008, according to a new report.

The actress, who played Edie Brit on the hit television series, opened the trial against Cherry in April, claiming that he struck her during an argument on the set and then fired her when she complained to producers.

Cherry also claims that Sheridan has created a hostile work environment with his "very abusive and aggressive behavior ". And another version of the report reveals that executives at ABC television network America looked at Sheridan's accusations - and have decided not to take any measures.

Legal documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, claiming: "In December 2008, Sheridan was informed that ABC was investigating her allegations and concluded that she was not ill-treated.

In fact, chief executive of ABC Studios, Davina Howard says 'Mark just gave her a nudge on the head. "With this, ABC decided not to take any measures and closed the investigation, informing Sheridan about that" we will finish the season with professionalism and courtesy, as before;"

Sheridan sued for damages in excess of $ 20 million for violence against the opposite sex, assault, insult and unfairly dismiss.
