Oprah Winfrey has an impressive resume but that wasn't enough. She can now add an Academy Award on it. Oprah will receive an honorary Academy Award this fall.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said this week that James Earl Jones, Oprah Winfrey, and makeup artist Dick Smith will receive this honorary Oscar. The three celebrities will receive their awards during a ceremony at the Governors Awards in November.
According to reports, Oprah will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which honors humanitarian and philanthropic contributions.
The 57-year-old magnate and TV celebrity, nominated for a supporting actress Oscar in 1985 for The Color Purple, supports several educational and charitable causes.by FW Editor |
