Paula Abdul lost another job, to guest star on Ugly Betty, which will premiere on October 9, reportedly due to her several demands including a private jet according to a scoop on Entertainment Weekly.
The ex-Idol judge is replaced by Kristen Johnston, the former 3rd Rock From the Sun actress. "I've always considered myself a poor man's Paula Abdul," she told EW.
Her role on the show is Helen, Mode's new office temp. Talking about her character, she dished, "She's still trying to get into the right clubs, wearing tight dresses... tragic. I think (Helen) sees herself as Samantha from Sex and the City. Except, of course, she's a temp."
