The son of the Brazilian football legend Pele, Edinho who works as a goalkeeping coach at Santos, sentenced to 33 years in jail over money-laundering for Santos drug cartel.
Edinho signed for Santos when he was 20 but was rarely the team’s first-choice goalkeeper. It was a big surprise for the three-time World Cup winner when his son decided to become a goalkeeper. He retired 9 years later after being convicted of killing a motorcyclist during a street car race.
Pele's son was first arrested in 2005 and served a sentence for drug trafficking offences and links with a notorious drug dealer in Santos. |
