Celebrated fashion photograher, Irving Penn, died in New York on Wednesday. He was 92 years of age.
Penn is noted not only for his photography of fashion models but also for photography of peasants of Peru and many other things.
He had been a long time photographer for Vogue magazine and contributed photos of numerous covers for the magazine. The Los Angeles Times has regarded him as "a grand master of American fashion photography."
Penn's photographs have been exhibited at many galleries throughout the USA and a number of books have published on his works.
