Prince William Spends 27th Birthday with Friends

Wednesday, June 24 2009

Prince William spent his 27th birthday with girlfriend Kate Middleton and some close pals at a country house and a trip to the seaside. The celebration lasted for 3 days.

On Saturday, Prince Harry joined his brother with other pals in going to a club for former members of the Royal British Legion. There they watched a rugby match between the British and Irish Lions and South Africa.

Pat Barron, the club steward, said, "Being serving members of the armed forces they were made most welcome. No one made a fuss of them, and they had a good time and enjoyed the game." And although the British team lost, "Everyone was up on their feet, having a good time. I know they both love their sports. They have done us proud and hopefully we did them proud. It was good all around – they wanted to be treated like normal people and that's how it was."

Later on, William and Kate were spotted playing tennis together and treading through the beach walks.
