Prosecutors May Charge Beresford-Redman for Murder

Prosecutors May Charge Beresford-Redman for Murder

Wednesday, June 2 2010

According to some recent news, prosecutors are focusing on Beresford-Redman and they want former "Survivor" producer charged with first degree murder.

Bruce lawyer, Jaime Cancino Leon is convinced that prosecutors are going to make their move by the end of the week.

Apparently, they have some strong evidences which can prove the involving of Bruce Beresford-Redman in his wife's murder case.

This entire process is quite simple and it will be done according to Mexican law: The Attorney General will submit his recommendation to a judge, who will then look over the evidence.

If this judge considers there is probable cause, Bruce Beresford-Redman will be formally charged with the murder of Monica Burgos Beresford-Redman. After that, the judge can issue an arrest warrant.

However, Jaime Cancino is not too happy with the way the investigation is going. He stated: "Bruce has never had the chance to defend himself. They didn't even give him the chance to participate in the investigation."

If Bruce is convicted of first degree murder, he may spend between 4 and 20 years in jail. There is no death penalty or life sentence in Mexico.
