The first rumor of Kate Middleton posing for Vogue surfaced last month, but the photo shoots never materialized. The reason? Queen Elizabeth II did not agree with it.
According to a Palace insider, Queen Elizabeth II would be far from pleased if the Duchess of Cambridge would pose for a magazine just for publicity.
"Kate is keenly conscious that while her new grandmother-in-law may not chide her for appearing on a Vogue cover. But she would definitely not be amused," the insider says. "Her Majesty is a genius at making people squirm with simply a look or a 'tut, tut.' "
Also, according to the same source, Prince William and Kate Middleton are free to give interviews and let themselves photographed as long as they are not promoting themselves as fashion or style icons.
"They are flattered by the attention but tat's not what they are about and they take their royal duties far too seriously to, in one sense, trivialize them," said the insider.by FW Editor |
