In early June we find out that Gary Oldman signed for the role of protagonist in the adaptation of the novel "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy" written by John Le Carre and directed by Tomas Alfredson.
At that time, Michael Fassbender, David Thewlis and Colin Firth were in negotiations to join the project, but between these three actors, only Fassbender and Firth have won roles.
Now we are informed by Variety that Ralph Fiennes has joined the cast of this spy thriller, but nothing is known about what role will he play.
All we know so far is that Oldman will play the character George Smiley, a former secret agent who is recalled to work when there is doubt about a Soviet spy.
The movie production is scheduled to begin in October in London. Considering the impressive distribution since now, which is based on the novel and that it's directed by Alfredson, we can deduce that "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy" will be a great movie.by FW Editor |
