The spanish professional tennis player ranked world No 1 Raphael Nadal had turned the match around to lead 2-6, 6-4, 3-0 when the Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori was forced to retire with a back injury. It was a very important victory for Raphael Nadal winning home. The 27 year old captured his fourth Madrid Open title and also his 27th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title. |
