Robert Rodriguez is in negotiation for the spin-off 'Deadpool'

Friday, August 27 2010

There are rumors circulating all over the media and the internet that the one who will direct Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool spin-off will be none other than Robert Rodriguez.

Filmmaker told MTV last week that the script was delivered to him a few days ago (the script signed by Rhett Reese and Paul Vernick]), but he can't decide whether to do it or not.

Now we are informed by the people from L.A. Times that Robert Rodriguez is in intense negotiations with 20th Century Fox, and the main subject is about directing this movie. Anyway, he can start working at it only next year, after he will finish Spy Kids 4: Armageddon.

The project will be supervised by 20th Century Fox, which means that the filmmaker, specialized in stylized and excessive violence will be forced to temper his artistic predispositions and deliver a film for mixed audiences.
