Robin Williams Resumes Comedy Tour

Thursday, May 14 2009

by Joe Halls

Robin Williams is happy to announce that he is resuming his one-man comedy tour, Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction, this fall after his heart surgery was completed on March 13 this year.

In a statement, he stated, "This little break has given me more energy than ever. Plus it's wonderful to have a cow valve... If you don't mind the grazing, it's quite invigorating."

The actor, who is also featured in the upcoming film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, underwent heart surgery replacing his aortic valve and fixing his mitral valve to improve his heartbeat.

Williams will make his first public appearance from his surgery on The Late Show with David Letterman next Wednesday.
