Ron Howard, the North American director who is 56 years old, was honored Saturday, 12/06/2010, with a lifetime achievement award at the International Film Festival in Chicago.
Because he is in Chicago to film the comedy "Cheaters", in which is starring Winona Ryder, Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Queen Latifah, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Connelly, the director could attend to the annual ceremony hosted by the Museum of Science and Industry to be awarded with the Silver Hugo Career Achievement Award trophy.

As an actor I was pretty limited in what I could do, but the possibilities of directing are endless. I am able to do dramas, fantasies, comedies and thrillers.
Actors like Winona Ryder, Vince Vaughn and Kevin James were present in the room to applaud while Ron Howard received the Silver Hugo trophy. The female star of the film "Edward Scissorhands" called him a true treasure of the director's film industry.
Vince Vaughn said that Ron Howard loves his work and is very confident in his own forces, and when you see his work as a whole you realize how incredible that director is.by FW Editor |
