Andy Samberg, famous for stint with the show Saturday Night Live, has been appointed as the host of the MTV Movie Awards of 2009. This will be 18th anniversary of the MTV Movie Awards and will be held on May 31. The MTV Movie Awards always had a fun-filled atmosphere and the responsibility is upon Samberg this year to carry on the light-hearted tradition.
The MTV Movie Awards are known for the odd categories in which they award movies, like Best Kiss and Best Action Sequence. It is being said that the humour of Andy Samberg will fit nicely with the style for the awards.
Samberg says that he is extremely excited and has watched the award and he "grew up watching the show". He also said that he idolized a number of people who have been hosts of the MTV Movie Awards in the past.
