Shia LaBeouf to Star in Wall Street Sequel

Monday, June 8 2009

by Joe Halls

Shia LaBeouf, the star of Transformers, agrees to be part of the upcoming sequel of the 1987 hit movie Wall Street alongside actors Michael Douglas and Javier Bardem.

Talking about the film, LaBeouf stated, "I don't know what ... a credit derivative is. I have no idea. I don't know what a CPO is. IPB. LVC. You gotta know ticker names."

The film, which will start shooting in August, will be directed by Oliver Stone. LaBeouf added that it will be "a walk-and-talk money movie" that is "wordy and heady."

And with the global economic crisis these days, Douglas said in April, "It will be really fun, and it's a perfect time."
