Famous band from the 1980s, Spandau Ballet, announced on Wednesday that they will be reforming and are planning to set out on a tour around the world. The band announced this news on the ship HMS Belfast. They had performed a successful concert on this ship years ago.
The tour will begin on October 13 this year in Dublin. They will also perform at seven events in the United Kingdom before this.
Spandau Ballet has been active since 1980 with the release of "To Cut a Long Story Short". The next year, they released the album "Journeys to Glory" which was certified Gold. This album is said to be the main point of influence for the New Romantic form of music. The band had achieved international success with the album, "True". Spandau Ballet had broken up in 1990. With rumours starting from December 2007 about a possible reunion of the band, they officially confirmed their reunion on Wednesday.
