Steven Seagal declines the Jean Claude Van Damme's Weapon

Friday, January 29 2010

Recently, it was reported that the famous action movies star Jean Claude Van Damme signed a contract with the "Weapon" movie producers. Apparently, Van Damme had to be the opposite of Steven Seagal in this movie. Now, we find out that Steven Seagal was replaced by Vinnie Jones (X-Men 3). The reason Steven Seagal was replaced is still unclear but apparently, the movie producers preferred Vinnie Jones instead of Seagal.

However, we saw the day when Steven Seagal is removed (or maybe declines) a role in a movie. This is something rare if not even unique. Lately, Seagal got a reputation of an actor that accepts any role in any movie (as we could see recently after his appearance in a low budged vampire movie).

"Weapon" is directed by Russell Mulcahy that also directed movies like "Highlander" or "Resident Evil- Extinction".
