Sylvester Stallone says exercise can be lethal

Wednesday, September 29 2010

Sylvester Stallone says he did everything from breaking a tooth and rupturing his ankle to catching bronchitis and shingles on the set of his latest action flick The Expendables.

"Exercise, I tell people, can kill you," he said.

"It's double-edged. It's good for you but you've got to know what you're doing.

"Your joints become fragile after a certain point. When you're 20, they're like rubber. But now… there's no way I can do the old squats and stuff. No way. Can't do it."

Sly who is 63 years old, recently admitted he's past his prime as far as dramatic movie roles go.

"I've done my mind movies and I don't think people are really too interested in seeing me do that anymore," he said.

"I think I'm past my prime for doing dramatic films, it's almost like a pathetic cry out to be recognized as a serious actor."

"I did my little moment, I've very proud of the drama in Rocky Balboa and Copland but I would much rather just direct dramas than act in them."
