The Hobbit will be directed by Peter Jackson

The Hobbit will be directed by Peter Jackson

Friday, November 19 2010

According to a recent report, Peter Jackson is the best choice to direct The Hobbit.

Entertainment Weekly interviewed the director and he said: "Exploring Tolkien's Middle-earth goes way beyond a normal film-making experience. It's an all-immersive journey into a very special place of imagination, beauty and drama. We’re looking forward to re-entering this wondrous world with Gandalf and Bilbo — and our friends at New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers and MGM."

We should have seen The Hobbit a little early, but del Toro has left the project and MGM is going through a big financial crises.

The Oscar winning director was only a producer for this project, but now, he is the only one who can make The Hobbit happen.

New York Daily News informs us that both movies will be shot in 3D, and the work is set to begin in February. We have a chance see the movies in December 2012.
