The Office crosses 100 episodes

Sunday, May 17 2009

by Kaustav Das Modak

The Judd Apatow driven TV show "The Office" reached the 100th episode mark on Thursday after

receiving different types of responses from critics over its 4 years run.

When the show started in March 2005, Angela Bromstad of NBC and Universal Media Studios

had worried to get the show past episodes and thinking about seasons was a distant thought

at that time.

The show was actually derived from the popular British show by Gervais and Merchant and

soared for its presentation of the present day corporate workplace incorporating high use of

lingos and buzzwords of the corporate sector. "The Office" was actually suffering from low

ratings but some comments made by the series creator

had

saved it from ruin.
