The actress who gave voice to 'Cinderella' died

Disney Legend - Ilene Woods, who gave voice to Disney's classic Cinderella in 1950 died at the age of 81 years. Ilene Woods was born on May 5th, 1929 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and worked as an actress as well as a singer.

Its first meeting with the movie world was when she had only two years.

At the age of 14 years old she already had her own show on ABC Radio called The Blue Network. Since many composers came to her show to present music, Illene become good friends with Mark David and Jerry Livingston.

Both have asked her to record some of their most recent songs, composed for movies.

Soon, her songs were presented by Walt Disney to be approved for use in the animation Cinderella and Ilene has tried her luck for the lead role, and was chosen among 300 candidates.
