American Idol will be a 3-male battle next week with Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen respectively. It was after Allison Iraheta, the last female contender of the show, was eliminated after receiving the lowest number of votes.
Before the elimination, Ryan Seacreast announced that there were 64 million votes all in all. Kris Allen was first sent to the safe zone, followed by Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey leaving Iraheta in tears.
The guest performers of the results show were Chris Daughtry who sang the band's new song No Surprise, then No Doubt with lead vocalist Gwen Stefani singing I'm Just A Girl, and lastly, one of the Idol judges Paula Abdul performed her latest offering I'm Just Here for the Music.
Next week, the 3 remaining contestants will go to their hometowns meeting their families and friends.
