Titanic 3D, will be launched in 2012

Thursday, July 22 2010

The second most successful (financially) movie of all time, Titanic will get a fresh start in 3D format.

Of course, it was known for some time, because James Cameron did all references to the 1997 blockbuster about converting it to the new format, but now, we have a date for the event.

Titanic 3D will be launched in April 2012, exactly 100 years after the release of the real Titanic.

The famous ship was launched on April 10, 1912 and sank just four days later, after hitting an iceberg and broken the lower deck compartments.

After making history with special effects in Avatar, Cameron wants to prove now that the conversion to 3D can be spectacular, unlike expensive and inefficient conversions fashionable in the last year (most discussed example is probably Clash of the Titans).

At this point it's unknown if the Titanic 3D will be launched everywhere over the Globe.

Do you want to see the movie in 3D format?
