On Monday, Kings of Leon's representative sent out a statement canceling the rock band U.S. tour, telling fans performances will resume in Canada September 28.
According to reports, the group's internal problems began after a Dallas concert a few days ago. The lead singer, Caleb Followill , started complaining about losing his voice. Caleb went backstage during the concert saying "I'm gonna go backstage for a second and I'm gonna vomit ... I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and I'm gonna play three more songs." He never returned. Jared Followill (bassist) and Matthew Followill (guitarist) stepped up to the microphone saying, "Caleb's a little unfit to play the rest of the show. We love you guys so much … I know you guys f–ing hate us. I'm so sorry. It's really not our fault – it's Caleb. He can't
play the rest of the show. We will be back as soon as possible."
However, later that night Jared posted on his Twitter page: "Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are some internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade." His statement suggests bigger problems inside the band.
Health problems or not, sounds really bad for the Kings of Leon right now.by FW Editor |
